Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. (Valley-Wide) is continuing to expand services in Fremont County. Our newest location is called Valley-Wide Cañon City and is located at 121 North 6th Street, Cañon City, CO 81212.  This clinic is conveniently located near St. Thomas More Hospital.

At Valley-Wide Cañon City we are focusing on our integrated model by creating an environment that facilitates primary care with dental and behavioral health services. With this approach our community members will receive individualized treatment that is not found in Fremont County at this time.

Imagine for a moment:

  • You come into Valley-Wide Cañon City to establish care with our primary care provider (PCP for short).  We take a team-based approach to your care. Your PCP, nurse team and support staff will ensure a pleasant visit and will provide care for acute, chronic and preventive needs, no matter your age or gender.
  • Upon talking with you and performing an exam the PCP finds you have tooth pain. The care team makes arrangements for a dental appointment soon, ideally that same day, here in the same office.
  • You say “Thanks Doc, but I don’t have dental insurance and I don’t even know how I’m going to pay for my medical exam.”  The care team assists with an appointment with our eligibility staff members soon, and once again, ideally that same day!
  • The eligibility staff members are able to qualify you with several programs and both the medical and dental bills become extremely manageable.

The initial office visit usually lasts about an hour, including time required to record your information into our Electronic Medical Record.  Your PCP and care team will complete a thorough intake of your medical history and perform a physical exam appropriate for your age and gender.  This is followed by a presentation of an individualized treatment plan that may include dietary advice, physical mobility directives, referrals to specialist, an updated medication list and if needed, prescriptions sent to your pharmacy via e-fax for your convenience.

This is the type of wrap-around services we are striving for at Valley-Wide Cañon City. We look forward to providing you and your family with high quality, integrated healthcare. We are privileged that you have made the decision to receive services at Valley-Wide Cañon City. We look forward to being your healthcare provider of choice.
